Accept your invitation and sign in
Sign in for the first time, set your password and set up two-step sign-in.
Who this is for: surgeons and practice managers
Before you start
You'll need:
- your email
- your phone, with an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator
- about 10 minutes
Step one: open your invitation email
You'll get an email from Alivra with the subject "Your Alivra account has been created". It shows your username (your email address) and a temporary password.
Select Log in to your account.
Step two: sign in and create your password
- Enter your email address and the temporary password.
- You'll be asked to create a new password. Choose one you haven't used anywhere else.
Step three: set up two-step sign-in
Your account can see patients' health information, so Alivra asks for a code from your phone each time you sign in. A stolen password alone isn't enough to get in.
- Open your authenticator app and add a new account.
- Scan the QR code on screen, or type in the key shown under it.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app.
Code not accepted? Codes change every 30 seconds, so enter the one showing now.
Took longer than 15 minutes? The set-up restarts with a new QR code. Delete the Alivra entry you added in your app, then scan the new code.
Step four: finish setting up your account
The first time you sign in, Alivra walks you through a short set-up. Select Start, then:
- Terms and privacy: read and accept each document.
- Your details: check your name and add your role title.
- Practice managers also get two more steps:
- Clinic details: check your clinic's details and add your logo.
- Care team: invite your surgeons. You can skip this and do it later.
You're all set.
- Surgeons: set up your profile.
- Practice managers: check your clinic profile.
